FOL Members & Volunteers,

The Board of Directors of the Friends of the Newburyport Public Library (FOL) invites all members to a Special Meeting on Wednesday, June 24^th, in the Newburyport Public Library Program Room to review and vote on the proposed revisions to the FOL Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. Your participation is instrumental as we work to ensure that our governance structure continues to support the mission and long-term success of the FOL.

Before the Special Meeting, we will host a Member and Volunteer Appreciation Gathering to recognize and thank all who contribute their time and energy to support our work. We hope you will join us for this opportunity to connect and celebrate the shared appreciation and commitment to our community.

• Member & Volunteer Appreciation Gathering: 5:30 PM-6:30 PM
  • To attend the Member & Volunteer Appreciation Gathering, please REGISTER HERE starting June 7, 2026.
  • Registration deadline is Friday, June 19, 2026.
• Special Meeting: 6:30 PM-7:00 PM
  • Following discussion of any concerns or questions, members will vote on proposed revisions to FOL Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
• FOL Monthly Board Meeting: 7:00 PM (following vote on Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws)
  • All members and volunteers are welcome to attend our upcoming board meeting as observers — we always appreciate your interest. We’re happy to provide this opportunity for you to stay informed about our work.
• The proposed revisions to the FOL Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws are available to review below or you can pick up printed copies at the library circulation desk. Please bring any questions to the Special Meeting at 6:30 PM.
