He currently serves as vice president of the oldest mushroom club in North America\, the Boston Mycological Club\, and is a board member of the Pioneer Valley Mycological Association. \n \nThe Library has assistive listening technology for individuals with reduced ranges of hearing that sends sound directly to a hearing device. Refreshments will be served. Door prizes will be drawn every 30 minutes\, giving everyone a chance to win! \nAll 2025 FOL Members and past Book Sale Volunteers are invited to register for the event. DESCRIPTION:FOL Members & Volunteers\, \nThe Board of Directors of the Friends of the Newburyport Public Library (FOL) invites all members to a Special Meeting on Wednesday\, June 24th\, in the Newburyport Public Library Program Room to review and vote on the proposed revisions to the FOL Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. Your participation is instrumental as we work to ensure that our governance structure continues to support the mission and long-term success of the FOL. \nBefore the Special Meeting\, we will host a Member and Volunteer Appreciation Gathering to recognize and thank all who contribute their time and energy to support our work. We hope you will join us for this opportunity to connect and celebrate the shared appreciation and commitment to our community. \nEvent Details: Wednesday\, June 24\, 2026 \n\nMember & Volunteer Appreciation Gathering: 5:30 PM-6:30 PM\n\nTo attend the Member & Volunteer Appreciation Gathering\, please REGISTER HERE starting June 7\, 2026.\nRegistration deadline is Friday\, June 19\, 2026.\n\n\nSpecial Meeting: 6:30 PM-7:00 PM\n\nFollowing discussion of any concerns or questions\, members will vote on proposed revisions to FOL Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.\n\n\nFOL Monthly Board Meeting: 7:00 PM (following vote on Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws)\n\nAll members and volunteers are welcome to attend our upcoming board meeting as observers — we always appreciate your interest.
