SUMMARY:Great Old Book Sale - Fall Event
DESCRIPTION:Come share favorite book titles with your neighbors and stock up on some new books before the holiday season at the biannual Great Old Book Sale! This fundraiser is open to the entire community. Great finds and deals can be discovered\, so join in the hunt! \nThe Great Old Book Sale takes place in the Library Program Room and provides a wonderful opportunity for the public to recycle gently used books and to purchase new materials at bargain prices. A wide selection of books\, audiobooks\, DVDs\, CDs\, and LPs are always available. Go wild!! \nFOL Members’ Night will be Wednesday\, October 23rd @ 6 pm–8:30 pm. Members of the Friends of the Library receive advance entry to the sale\, allowing them first opportunity for great finds. Memberships can be purchased at the door from 4:00 pm on the day of the sale. The event will be open to the general public Thursday\, October 24th through Saturday\, October 26th at 2 pm. \nBook donations will be accepted for the Great Old Book Sale from Saturday\, October 19th through Tuesday\, October 22nd. All items should be clean and in good condition. Materials accepted are paperback and hardcover books\, audiobooks\, DVDs\, music CDs\, and LPs. No video or audio tapes\, textbooks or encyclopedias\, please. Donations may be dropped off in the Program Room during regular Library hours. \nVolunteer opportunities are available October 19th through October 26th. This is a terrific opportunity for short-term volunteerism. Many volunteers help organize contributed materials and also assist at the actual sale. You can work with other enthusiastic book lovers\, young and old. \nWe thank you for your participation in this community event!
