SUMMARY:All About Mushrooms with Field Naturalist Jonathan Kranz (IN PERSON)
DESCRIPTION:All About Mushrooms with Field Naturalist Jonathan Kranz (IN PERSON)\nTuesday\, June 3\n6:00—7:00 PM\nProgram Room Newburyport Public Library\n\n\nThey’re mushrooms\, the fruiting bodies of an otherwise invisible world of fungi hidden in our forests\, lawns…and flowerpots. \nJoin Mass Audubon Field Naturalist Jonathan Kranz as he reveals what mushrooms are and how they live; reviews the most common and most spectacular mushrooms in our region of New England; identifies the most delicious mushrooms to eat; and teaches the basics of safe mushroom foraging! \nAbout the Presenter: \nJonathan Kranz is a Mass Audubon Certified Field Naturalist who leads mushroom walks and talks throughout southern New England. He currently serves as vice president of the oldest mushroom club in North America\, the Boston Mycological Club\, and is a board member of the Pioneer Valley Mycological Association. \n \nThe Library has assistive listening technology for individuals with reduced ranges of hearing that sends sound directly to a hearing device. Contact the library at 978 465-4428 ext. 2 before the program to learn more about this and other assistive technology options. Come and enjoy the theater-like screen and sound system with fellow film buffs. This free event will be held in the Program Room and all are welcome! \n \n  \n\n\n\nNo Registration Required
