It’s time to renew your 2026 FOL membership – or join us for the first time!

It’s been a great year for the Friends of the Newburyport Public Library (FOL) — thanks to supporters like you. Together, we raised $42,579 through memberships, donations, our Annual Appeal, and our much-loved spring and fall book sales.

Thanks to our generous donors, over 10,000 people of all ages were able to enjoy library programs and services through the $40,124 in FOL-provided support in 2024-2025 (a 16% increase over the previous year). But we’re not done yet.

As libraries across the country face ongoing budget cuts, local support is more important than ever. FOL groups like ours play a vital role in bridging funding gaps, making sure our library continues to thrive with the programs, services, and experiences we all love.

Did you know that some of the most popular programs offered at the Newburyport Public Library are funded entirely by the FOL? These include:

• Museum Pass Program – over 1,000 passes checked out last year
• Kanopy – more than 9,000 videos streamed
• Upgraded audio-visual equipment – improves movie sound and picture quality
• Children’s Room – now cozier and quieter with acoustic graphic panels

All these benefits are possible because of members and supporters like you.

Our memberships run annually from January 1 to December 31. All contributions are tax-deductible, and we never share your information with others.
